Sky Safari Paragliding operates from Signal Hill in Cape Town, offering licensed tandem flights with certified commercial pilots. Launching above the Atlantic Seaboard, guests soar effortlessly along the coastline with panoramic views of Table Mountain, Lion’s Head, Camps Bay and Clifton before landing near the Sea Point Promenade.

Designed for both first-time flyers and adventure lovers, this tandem experience requires no prior training. After a short safety briefing, you’ll take a few steps forward with your pilot and lift smoothly into the air for a scenic glide above one of the world’s most iconic coastlines.

It’s calm, cinematic and surprisingly accessible — one of Cape Town’s most rewarding aerial experiences.

• Primary launch site: Signal Hill
• Wind direction determines exact take-off point
• Landing: Sea Point Promenade grass fields
• Spectators can watch landings from the promenade

This is not Lion’s Head unless conditions require relocation — Signal Hill is the primary operational site.

Handre’ went above and beyond (😜) our expectations. We booked last minute and he was able to accommodate us keeping us informed of wind conditions. We were able to jump the next day and it was gorgeous views all around from Lion’s head. He offered to assist us since we had bags for airport and even helped us out with transportation. I highly recommend him and his company/other pilot, it was the highlight of our trip to Capetown. There were even some unexpected acrobatics/maneuvers with my friend’s parachute thrown in! Thanks so much for a great jump!

Handre is absolutely the best! It doesn’t matter what you are looking for: a guided tour, a tandem flight and awesome paragliding experience (if you are already a licensed pilot) - he has it all! He is such a lovely and knowledgeable person, he really gave me a magic time in Cape Town! If somebody asks me where to go and what to do in Cape Town, I can recommend him without ANY doubt!

Wow, what a surreal, epic experience! Handre is the man! He’s friendly, extremely experienced and knowledgeable. We launched from Lions head, which apparently is harder to get conditions for, so already we were lucky. After soaring above Lions head, which was mind-blowing, we cruised across the valley to table mountain, which Handre said he’s only able to do a few times a year with tandems. Soaring around the flanks of table mountain was so cool. Then we soared over to camps bay and did some spirals on the way down to the landing site, which felt like a rollercoaster in mid-air… all in all it was an unforgettable experience. Im still riding the high, 24 hours later.
